Patricia A. Miller
Patricia A. Miller, 75, of Larryville Road, Jersey Shore, died Saturday, January 17, 2009 at The Gatehouse of Divine Providence Hospital. Born December 23, 1933 in Williamsport, she was a daughter of Harry L. and M. Jeannette Stryker Ryder.
She was a 1952 graduate of Williamsport High School and graduated from the Harrisburg Polyclinic in 1955. Pat had worked as a registered nurse for 23 years at Divine Providence, Williamsport, and Muncy Hospital. She had worked for 18 years as a correctional officer at Muncy Prison. She was a member of Larryville United Methodist Church. She was a member of the Tiadaghton Quilt Guild and enjoyed making quilts for Susquehanna Hospice (The Gatehouse), Hummelstown Hope Lodge, and Quilts of Valor for returning servicemen to the U.S.A.
Surviving are her husband of 52 years, The Rev. Harold E. Miller (retired United Methodist Minister), four children Keith (Patty) Miller of Horseheads, NY, Kaylin Sanders of Montgomery, Kevin Miller of Montoursville, and Kyle (Andrea) Miller of Meshoppen, seven grandchildren, four great grandchildren, and a sister Jean (Jerome) Burgit of Jersey Shore.
She was preceded in death by a great granddaughter Becca Brion.
Funeral services will be held 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Sanders Mortuary, 821 Diamond St., Williamsport, with the Rev. Kevin E. Brophy officiating. Burial will be held in Jersey Shore Cemetery. Friends may call from 9:30-10:30 a.m. Thursday at Sanders.
