Edgar O. Lynch

Edgar O. Lynch, 93, a resident of Gap Road, Allenwood, PA, passed away at 7:45 P.M. on Sunday, January 25, 2009 in the Geisinger Medical Center at Danville, PA. Born in Gregg Twp., Union County, PA, on Friday, December 24, 1915, he was the son of the late Alonzo G. and Elizabeth (Ruth) Lynch.

He served during the Second World War with the U.S. Army.

Ed was employed as an assistant superintendent by PennDot for 11 years. Earlier in life he was self-employed in the construction business and was the proprietor of Eddie’s Diner at Elimsport. Ed was a former Washington Twp. supervisor for 20 years and a founding member of The Washington Twp. Vol. Fire Co. He was a member of American Legion Post 617 in S. Williamsport, The Loyal Order of Moose International and The N.R.A.

He is survived by one nephew, Raymond A. Lynch, Hendersonville, TN and one niece, Elizabeth A.Lambert, Palm Bay, FL. He was preceded in death by his brother, Raymond R. Lynch, in 2004.
