Earl Dailey
Earl Dailey, 83, a resident of 55 Sherwood Drive, Montgomery, PA, passed away on Tuesday, February 3, 2009 in the Williamsport Hospital. Born in Sunbury, Northumberland County, PA, on Sunday, April 5, 1925, he was the son of the late Earl and Ella Mae (Kelly) Dailey.
Earl honorably served his country during the Second World War with the U.S. Army in the European Theatre.
He had previously been employed by ACF Industries at Milton and Koppers at Muncy. He was the former owner of the Martinique at Montgomery.
Earl was a member and past commander of Bower-Decker American Legion Post 251 at Montgomery. Earlier in life he enjoyed playing baseball in the West Branch Semi-Pro League.
He is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, David and Elaine Dailey, Jeffersonville, IN; three grandchildren, Mathew Dailey; Laura Dailey; Travis Dailey; one sister, Dawn Gillespie, Mifflintown, PA; one half brother, Leon Campbell, Montandon, PA.
Services will be conducted at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions be made to the American Heart Association, Northeastern PA District, 1704 Warren Avenue, Williamsport, PA 17701.
