Theodore O. “Ted” Fogel, Jr.
Theodore O. “Ted” Fogel, Jr., 79, of East Water Street, Hughesville, passed away on Feb. 4, 2009 at the Williamsport Hospital and Medical Center. He and his wife, the former Theresa Cannon, celebrated 59 years of marriage this past Nov. 12. Ted was born in El Segundo, CA, on April 3, 1929, a son of the late Theodore O. Fogel, Sr. and Velma R. Nelson.
Ted was a graduate of Hughesville High School and a veteran of the US Army. He retired from PennDOT in October of 2002, where he was a Transportation Construction Inspection Supervisor. He also was a truck driver and heavy equipment operator, and a member of Operating Engineers Local #825. He was an award winning photographer in the 1960’s and 1970’s, for the Courier News in Bridgewater, NJ. He was a member of the Catholic Church of the Resurrection in Muncy. Ted was very devoted to his family.
He is survived by his wife Theresa Fogel of Hughesville; three daughters, Linda and Gary Rinker of Cogan Station, Patricia and Dayl McClintock, and Kathleen and John Seese, all of Hughesville; one sister, Velma Jo Dahlstrom of Arizona, 11 grandchildren and four great grandchildren. He is predeceased by two brothers and one sister.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday at 11 a.m. at Church of the Resurrection Catholic Church, 75 Musser Lane, Muncy, with the Rev. Glenn McCreary, celebrating the mass. Friends will be received at the McCarty-Thomas Funeral Home, 557 E. Water St., Hughesville, on Sunday evening from 7-9 p.m. and also at the church on Monday from 10-11 a.m.
Burial will take place in Muncy Cemetery.
