John D. “Jack” Quinn, Ph.D.
John D. “Jack” Quinn, Ph.D., age 69, of Muncy, passed away Monday, February 9, 2009.
Born in Philadelphia, he was a son of the late Milton and Frances Quinn.
He observed 45 years of marriage with his wife, Barbara.
A graduate of St. Joseph’s Preparatory School in Philadelphia, he continued his education at St. Joseph’s University in Philadelphia, where he received a Bachelor of Arts degree, and at the University of Notre Dame, South Bend, Indiana, where he earned his Ph.D.
For 30 years Jack’s occupation was based in education. He currently was a college professor at the Pennsylvania College of Technology in Williamsport.
Jack was a member of the Church of the Resurrection, Muncy.
Surviving in addition to his wife are five children, Helena, John and wife Patricia, Elizabeth, Christine and David Quinn, and three grandchildren, Jacob, Alexander and Calista Quinn.
In addition to his parents he was predeceased by a brother, Milton.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, Feb. 13, at his church, the Church of the Resurrection, 75 Musser Lane, Muncy. Officiating will be his pastor, the Rev. Glenn McCreary. Burial will be held privately.
Friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. on Thursday at Grenoble’s, 121 S. Main St., Muncy.
