Dewain R. Vognetz, 63, of Liberty Square, Watsontown, passed away early Tuesday, February 17, 2009 at his home.

Born in Mahoning Twp., Montour County on December 31, 1945, he was the son of the late Charles A. and Martha N. (Phillip) Vognetz. On June 18, 1966 he married the former Donna L. Hartman and they have celebrated 42 years of marriage.

Dewain had been employed at Andritz Sprout-Bauer, Muncy for 30 years.

He was a member and served as vice-president of the Dewart Senior Citizens and a member and past-president of the Helping Hands C.B. Club of Anthony Twp. Earlier in life he was a Scoutmaster of the Turbotville Boy Scouts and coached Little League Baseball in Exchange. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. He attended Fairview Church of the Nazarene, Muncy.

Surviving besides his wife are a son and daughter-in-law, Mike and Lori Vognetz of Turbotville; a daughter and son-in-law, Brenda and Bob Kline, Montoursville; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
