Robert E. Kellerman
Robert E. Kellerman, 62, a resident of 16930 US Route 15, Allenwood, PA, passed away on Tuesday, February 24, 2009 in the Muncy Valley Hospital Skilled Nursing Unit. Born in Bellefonte, Centre County, PA, on Saturday, October 19, 1946, he was the son of the late Guy and Eleanor (Hull) Kellerman.
Bob was the husband of Barbara J. (Temple) Kellerman with whom he celebrated a 38th wedding anniversary on June 6, 2008.
He was a 1964 graduate of Bellefonte Area High School and a 1966 graduate of the former Williamsport Area Community College.
Bob was a construction inspector, most recently employed by Larson Design Group. He had previously been employed by Pennsylvania Wire Rope, GTE Sylvania at Halls Station and Textron Lycoming at Williamsport.
He was of the United Methodist faith. Bob was a board member of the Gregg Twp. Municipal Authority. He was a member of the Sons of American Legion Post 251 at Montgomery, a former member and chief of the former White Deer Valley Volunteer Fire Department and a former member and commodore of the Susquehanna Boat Club. He enjoyed woodworking and spending time at his river lot and with his dog, Laci.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by one brother, Barry L. Kellerman, Bellefonte, PA; two sisters, Linda J. McCaslin, Bellefonte, PA; Judith C. Kennedy, State College, PA. He is also survived by 3 nieces, 3 nephews, 2 great-nieces and 1 great-nephew.
A memorial service will be conducted from the Galen R. Betzer Funeral Service, 108 North Main Street, Muncy, PA at 2:00 P.M. on Saturday, February 28, 2009 with Rev. Robert Kennedy and Rev. Arlene Beechert, officiating. Interment will be in the Green Lawn Memorial Park. Friends may call on Saturday from 1:00 – 2:00 P.M. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions be made to the S.P.C.A., 2805 Reach Road, Williamsport, PA 17701 or to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-1942.
