Vivian E. Adams, 68, a resident of 250 Sunset Road, Muncy, PA, formerly of New Hampshire, passed away on Friday, February 20, 2009 in the Williamsport Hospital following a recent illness. Born in Newmanstown, PA, on Monday, March 25, 1940, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Vivian (Billmeyer) Yeiser.
Vivian was the wife of John A. Adams with whom she celebrated a 23rd wedding anniversary on June 15, 2008.
She was employed as a clerk in the federal court house at Concord, NH and later retired from the United States Attorney’s office.
Vivian was an avid gardener. She loved nothing more than planting and seeing what would come up each year.
In addition to her husband she is survived by one son, Lane S.W. Ellis, Montgomery, PA; one daughter and son-in-law, Randy and Michael Sorrenty, Concord, NH; three grandchildren, Nathan Burke; Magen Ellis; Nicolas Sorrenty; two sisters, Grace Steller, East Hanover, NJ; Barbara Berger, Elma, NY. Vivian was preceded in death by her brother, Dr. Frank Yeiser.
A celebration of Vivian’s life will be held at the Galen R. Betzer Funeral Service, 108 North Main Street, Muncy, PA at 2:00 P.M. on Saturday, March 7, 2009 with Rob Ransom, pastor of the Trinity United Methodist Church at Pennsdale, officiating.
