Robert L. “Robbie” Prentiss
Robert L. “Robbie” Prentiss, 26, of Unityville, died Thursday, March 5, 2009, at the Muncy Valley Hospital Emergency Room.
Born Dec. 20, 1982, in Williamsport, he was a son of Clyde and Donna Getz Thompson. He and his wife, the former Heather R. Martin, would have celebrated their first anniversary on June 7, 2009.
A life member of the North American Hunting Club, Robbie was an outdoor enthusiast who also loved ice fishing. He was an avid Steelers fan and enjoyed playing the guitar, playing horse shoes and spending time with his family and friends. Robbie had a passion for mustange’s and his Pit Bull’s as well.
Surviving, in addition to his wife and parents, are a brother, C.J. Thompson of Unityville; a sister, Amber (Robert) Wagner of Unityville; a paternal grandmother, Mary Lou Thompson of Dallas, Pa; a paternal grandfather, Harry (Gail) Thompson of Picture Rocks; a maternal grandfather, Donald Getz of Unityville; and two nieces, Alesia Walters and Brooklyn Wagner.
Robbie was preceded in death by an unborn child; a maternal grandmother, Karen Getz; and a cousin, Tracy “Nick” Getz.
Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Wednesday, at the McCarty-Thomas Funeral Home, 557 E. Water St., Hughesville, with Pastor Robert J. McKenzie officiating. Burial will follow in Lairdsville Cemetery. Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
The family will provide the flowers and suggest memorial contributions to the Robert Prentiss Memorial Fund, which can be made at any Sovereign Bank location.
