Siegfried A. Beyer

Siegfried A. Beyer, 83, recently of Hughesville, died at the Muncy Valley Hospital Skilled Nursing Unit, on Tuesday, March 17, 2009. Siegfried’s wife, the former Elisabeth Sieg, predeceased him on May 18, 1993. Born in Germany on December 14, 1925, he immigrated to the United States in 1959, and worked as a mechanic for Mercedes Benz North America, until his retirement in 1988. He resided in Englewood, NJ, and moved to be closer to his family in this area in 2005.

He is survived by his two sons, Peter Beyer of Forksville and Siegfried O. Beyer of Muncy, his two daughters, Elke I. Beyer of Hughesville and Irmgard Rodriquez of Puerto Rico, and three grandchildren, Jakob and Elisabeth Beyer, and Christina Stanley and a great grandson, Brandon Stanley. A memorial service will be held at 11:30 AM, Saturday, March 28, 2009, at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church in Lairdsville. His pastor, the Rev. Carla Volland, will officiate. The family will provide the flowers and suggest memorial contributions be made in his name to the Lycoming County SPCA, 2805 Reach Road, Williamsport, PA 17701.
