Edwin M. Jackson

Edwin M. Jackson, 66, of Mechanicsburg and formerly of Hughesville passed away Tuesday, July 21, 2009 at the Harrisburg Hospital.

He was born August 25, 1942 in Bellefonte, the son of Russell G. and Rosalyn C. Wolfe Jackson.

Edwin retired as the owner/operator of Jackson Business Systems in South Williamsport. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church Camp Hill, Lodge #106 F&AM, had been a member of Messiah Lutheran Church and past president of the church council, and was active in the South Williamsport Band Association and Booster Club.

Surviving Edwin is his wife, the former Judith A. Newcomer, with whom he would have celebrated their 48th wedding anniversary on September 9th; two sons, Craig E. (Julie) of Champagne, IL and Brian K. (Michele) of South Williamsport; a daughter, Vicki J. (Thomas) Wilken of Mechanicsburg and eight grandchildren, Maxwell, Emma, Jackson, Meredith, Jennifer, Elizabeth, Jillian, and Jordan.

The funeral service was held Saturday, July 25, 2009 at the Messiah Lutheran Church, 324 South Howard Street, South Williamsport, with Rev. John H. Brock, his pastor officiating. Interment will follow in Montoursville Cemetery.
