Imogene Schick, 81, of 520 Pepper St., Muncy, died Tuesday, Aug. 18, 2009, at the Muncy Valley Hospital Skilled Nursing Unit, Muncy.
Born Feb. 3, 1928, in Lycoming County, she was a daughter of the late Luther and Edna (Schell) Bankes.
Her husband of 48 years, Samuel Albright Schick, preceded her in death on March 7, 2005.
Imogene worked as a seamstress at the former Modecraft and retired in 1990 from Sprout’s (now Andritz) in Muncy.
She was a graduate of Muncy High School and an auxiliary member of the Edward Smith Post No. 3428, V.F.W., Muncy. Imogene enjoyed reading, flower gardening and sewing.
Surviving are two brothers and a sister-in-law, Charles Bankes of Danville and Ray and Lois Bankes of Muncy; and a special friend who was like a daughter to her, Nancy Clayton of Muncy.
A private graveside service will be held in Muncy Cemetery at the convenience of the family. Officiating will be James L. Girven, ALWL, of Muncy.
The family will provide the flowers and suggests memorial contributions be made to the S.P.C.A., 2805 Reach Road, Williamsport, PA 17701.
