Carolyn E. Ault
Carolyn E. Ault, 82, of 3452 Clarkstown Road, Muncy, died Thursday, Sept. 24, 2009, at her home surrounded by loved ones.
Born April 28, 1927 in Muncy, she was a daughter of the late Wilburt D. Sr. and Matilda J. (Housner) Zarr.
A 1945 graduate of Muncy High School, she married Robert M. Ault on Jan. 27, 1946. He preceded her in death on July 22, 2008, after 62 years of marriage.
Carolyn worked as a clerk/typist in the office at the Lycoming County Home & Hospital (Lysock View). She retired in 1987 after 19 years of service.
She was a member of St. Andrew Evangelical Lutheran Church, Muncy. Carolyn previously was a member of the former Bald Eagle Chapter of American Business Women Association for 35 years.
Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, David M. and Donna Ault of Muncy; two daughters and a son-in-law, Vickie C. Ault of Montoursville and Maggie L. and Craig Boyles of Muncy; seven grandchildren; thirteen great- grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grand-children. She is also survived by an extended family member, Karen Gaines of Muncy.
In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by three brothers, Wilburt (Bud) Zarr, Robert B. Zarr and Donald L. Zarr.
A celebration of her life will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 28, at Grenoble’s, 121 S. Main St., Muncy. Officiating will be Chaplain David Fishel of Susquehanna Home Care & Hospice.
Friends will be received at the funeral home on Monday from 1 to 2 p.m.
The family will provide flowers and suggests memorial contributions in Carolyn’s name be made to Susquehanna Home Care & Hospice, 1100 Grampian Blvd., Williamsport, PA 17701.
