Marilyn J. Williams Stiffler
Marilyn J. Williams Stiffler, 65, of 91 Richard Ave., Hughesville, died Friday, Sept. 25, 2009 as a result of an automobile accident.
Born in Muncy on Sept. 1, 1944, she was a daughter of the late Raymond Whitmoyer and Beryl (Bennett) Whitmoyer, who survives.
She and her husband of 10 years, Utah Stiffler, were married May 28, 1999.
Marilyn attended Muncy High School and had been employed by the former Sylvania Plant in Montoursville until its closing. She retired in 2008, after many years of service as a nurses aide at Valley View Nursing Center.
Marilyn enjoyed yard sales and especially spending time with her grandchildren.
Surviving in addition to her mother and husband are three daughters and two sons-in-law, Deborah and Richard Shief of Montgomery, Linda and Brian Brant of Muncy and Jackie Williams of Hughesville; two stepdaughters, Amy Stiffler of Mobridge, S.D. and Ashley Stiffler of Blossburg; a sister, Sheila Seidel of Unityville; 10 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 29, at Grenoble’s, 121 S. Main St., Muncy, officiated by Rev. Dan Cale, pastor of Hughesville Friends Church. Burial will follow in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Hughesville.
Friends will be received on Monday, Sept. 28, from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
