Ronald C. “Red” Brinser, 64, of 2381 Rt. 405 Highway, Muncy, died Monday, Nov. 23, 2009 at the Gatehouse in Williamsport.

Born May 4, 1945 in Williamsport, he was a son of the late Jesse and Bertha (Blair) Brinser.

He and his wife of 36 years, the former Daphne L. Frey, were married May 26, 1973.

For the past 14 years Red worked for Muncy Creek Twp. in the road maintenance department. Prior to that, he was employed as an over-the-road truck driver for Schnadig Furniture. In addition, he was previously employed by the former Montgomery Mills.

Red was a former member of the Teamsters Local #764, Milton, and a member of the East Lycoming Antique Machinery Association and the North American Hunting Club. He very much enjoyed the outdoors and spent a lot of his spare time hunting and fishing. He was also an avid NASCAR fan.

Surviving in addition to his wife are three sons and daughters-in-law, Ronald D. and Gine Brinser of Muncy, Robert W. and Tammy Brinser of Millville, and Brian M. and Amy Brinser of Hughesville; four grandchildren; and two sisters-in-law, Joan Brinser of Montoursville and Laurie Knyrim of Hughesville.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by two brothers, Theodore and Jesse Dean Brinser; and one sister, Helen Hilner.

The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 28, at Grenoble’s, 121 S. Main St., Muncy. Officiating will be Pastor Max L. Walters Jr. of Lairdsville Faith Church. Burial will follow in Muncy Cemetery.

Friends were received from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

The family provided the flowers and suggests memorial contributions be made to either the Gatehouse, 1100 Grampian Boulevard, Williamsport, PA 17701 or Church of the Resurrection, 75 Musser Lane, Muncy, PA 17756.
