Charlotte S. Bennett

Charlotte S. Bennett, 78, a resident of 709 Elimsport Road, Montgomery, passed away on Saturday, May 29, 2010 in the Muncy Valley Hospital Skilled Nursing Unit. Born in Montgomery, Lycoming County, Pa., on Tuesday, June 9, 1931, she was the daughter of the late William and Margaret (LaForme) Sealy.

Charlotte was the widow of Harold W. Bennett who preceded her in death on October 31, 1970.

She was employed as a molding operator by the West Company at Montgomery for 18 years and had previously been employed by the former Montgomery Mills.

Charlotte enjoyed playing cards, going for breakfast with her retired co-workers and spending time with her family.

She is survived by three daughters and two sons-in-law, Jean B. Miller, Montgomery; Deborah S. and Mark Kennedy, Montgomery; Donna M. and Samuel Hoover, Montgomery; two sons, William H. Bennett, Montgomery; Dale E. Bennett, Muncy and one sister, Helen Steeley, Lewisburg. Charlotte is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.

Graveside funeral services were conducted in the Fairview Cemetery, 1706 Cemetery Road, Montgomery at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, June 2, 2010 with Michael A. Hill, pastor of St. John’s United Methodist Church at Elimsport, officiating. The family provided the flowers.
