Wanda L. Blakely

Wanda Lee Blakely, 72, a resident of 1822 Vesta Avenue, Williamsport, passed away at 12:30 P.M. on Wednesday, June 9, 2010 at the home of her daughter, Suzanne. Born in Northumberland, Northumberland County, PA, on Monday, March 7, 1938, she was the daughter of the late Paul and Irene (Crabb) Pfirman.

Wanda was the wife of Delbert R. Blakely, Sr. with whom she celebrated a 29th wedding anniversary on May 30, 2010.

Wanda was a 1955 graduate of Montgomery High School. She was employed by the Fairfield Auto Group as an accounts receivable and inventory clerk, retiring in 2009.

Wanda enjoyed music, opera, attending the theatre, reading and especially enjoyed cruising.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Christina and Gary Clark, Harrisburg; Suzanne and Jeffrey Pick, Montgomery; one son and daughter-in-law, Kurt and Erin Blakely, Jersey Shore; two step-sons, Russell Blakely, Williamsport; Dennis Blakely, Williamsport; one step-daughter and son-in-law, Darlene and Jack Miller, Williamsport. Wanda is also survived by 12 brothers and sisters, 9 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. Wanda was preceded in death by one daughter, Valorie Bergquist.

Funeral services were conducted from the New Covenant Assembly of God Church, 1270 Pinchtown Road, Montgomery at 11:00 A.M. on Monday, June 14, 2010 with Rev. James R. Pentz officiating. Interment was in the Montoursville Cemetery. Friends called on Monday from 10:00 to 11:00 A.M. at the church. Arrangements are being handled by the Galen R. Betzer Funeral Service, 40 E.
