Helen L. Sheridan

Helen L. Sheridan, 91, of 44 Green St., Muncy, died Monday, August 2, 2010 at her residence.

Born August 8, 1918 in Muncy, she was the daughter of the late Clarence and Anna Butler. Her.husband, Lewis P. Sheridan, preceded her in death January 29, 1961.

Helen was a 1937 graduate of Muncy High School. She and her husband, Lewis, owned and operated the East Muncy Grocery Store on East Water Street. The store was later purchased by Myron Ryder, who continued to operate it as a grocery store and later as an Antique Shop. Helen continued to assist her dear friend, Myron, in the operation of the business until the fall of 2009.

Helen enjoyed cooking, and was very good at cooking from scratch.

Surviving are a granddaughter and her husband, Audrey & Bradley Fenstermacher of Muncy; and two great-grandsons, Kevin & Jacob Fenstermacher.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by a daughter, Lydia Bennage in January 2010.

The funeral will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, August 6, 2010 at Grenoble’s, 121 S. Main St. Muncy. Officiating will be Rev. Max L. Walters, Jr., pastor of Lairdsville Faith Church. Burial will follow in Muncy Cemetery.

Friends will be received from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.
