Naomi E. Charles

Naomi E. (Aunt Momo) Charles, 59, a resident of 2381 State Route 405, Muncy, passed away on Tuesday, August 10, 2010 at her residence following a brief illness. Born in Kelly Twp., Union Co., PA, on Saturday, April 28, 1951, she was the daughter of the late Sheldon A. and Helen M. (Confer) Charles.

Naomi was a 1969 graduate of Muncy High School. She was formerly employed by the former J.K. Rishel Co. at Williamsport, PA.

Naomi enjoyed playing cards, zelch and going to casinos. She loved her family dearly, especially her nieces and nephews. She was a kind soul who was loved by all.

Naomi is survived by two sisters, Bonnie Pentz, with whom she resided with for 29 years; Diane Bower, Hughesville; six brothers and five sisters-in-law, Wayne and Jane Charles, Montgomery; Sheldon and Linda Charles, Muncy; Ed and Peggy Charles, Hughesville; Roland and Becki Charles, Pennsdale; Walt and Penny Charles, Muncy; Jeff Charles, Hughesville. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Naomi was preceded in death by three brothers, Kenneth, Frank, and David Charles and one sister, Shirley Charles.

Funeral services were conducted from the Galen R. Betzer Funeral Service, 108 N. Main St., Muncy at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, August 13, 2010 with Pastor Max L. Walters, Jr. officiating. Interment was in the Tallmar Cemetery. Friends called on Friday from 10:00 to 11:00 A.M. at the funeral home.
