Alden “Al” Wade Corbin, 71, of Muncy, died Tuesday, August 31, 2010, at his home.

Born February 26, 1939, in Mapleton Depot, Huntingdon County, he was a son of the late Miles and Ethel Heaster Corbin. He and his wife, the former Terrie Henderson, celebrated 46 years of marriage on March 13, 2010.

Al was a graduate of the Captain Jack Joint High School, Class of 1957. He graduated from The Williamsport Technical Institute in 1960 and from the California University of Pennsylvania in 1965 with a bachelor of science degree in education.

For 34 years Al was employed with the Montoursville High School as an Industrial Arts teacher, retiring in 1999. Following retirement, he served on the East Lycoming School Board for several years and was a substitute teacher for Montgomery, Loyalsock and East Lycoming school districts.

He was a member of the Moreland Baptist Church and had served as a deacon and trustee.

Al also played Peter in the Last Supper Drama for over ten years.

“Toolman” Wade was often consulted on “how to construct” or “how to fix” numerous items. He was always a source for tools and equipment also. Wade leaned on the Lord and thrived on laughter and conversation with family and friends. Both father and sons were blessed with a beautiful relationship. He was a great friend!

Surviving, in addition to his wife, are two sons, Brett E. (Lisa) Corbin of Muncy and Joshua P. (Jennifer) Corbin of Seattle, Washington; and six grandchildren, Skylar, Ethan, Landon, Grace, Sara and Jonah Corbin.

Funeral services were held Sept. 4 at the Moreland Baptist Church, 118 Moreland Baptist Road, Muncy, with the Rev. Carl Harris and Lucy Temple, CLM co-officiating. Burial followed in the church cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Moreland Baptist Church.
