Clarice M. Hill

Clarice M. Hill, 93, of Muncy, passed away Saturday, Dec. 4, 2010, at the Muncy Valley Hospital, Skilled Nursing Unit.

She was born Jan. 12, 1917, in Penn Twp., a daughter of the late Victor St. Clair and Sarah Elizabeth (Reese) Reese. Feb. 1, 1938, she married the late Lewis G. Hill, who passed away May 26, 1984.

She was a member of the Clarkstown United Methodist Church and enjoyed gardening, quilting, sewing and caring for her flowers and chickens.

She is survived by four sons, Gordon E. (Marjorie) Hill, Donald L. (Carol) Hill, Gary L. (Crystal) Hill and Jimmy D. (Darlene) Hill, all of Muncy; 12 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, 3 step-grandchildren, 17 step-great- grandchildren and two step- great-great- grandchildren.

Clarice was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Trudy Losell, a step great great-grandson, Blake Moore, three sisters, Hazel Barto, Mary Stackhouse and Jessie Harmon and a brother, Bruce Reese.

Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Tuesday in the McCarty-Thomas Funeral Home, 557 E. Water St., Hughesville, by Pastor Grace Marie Ransom. The interment was in the Muncy Cemetery.

The family received friends in the funeral home Tuesday from 10 to 11 a.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the Clarkstown United Methodist Church, 3117 Clarkstown Road, Muncy, PA 17756.
