Paul D. Yohe

Paul D. Yohe, 71, of 639 Narber Fry Road, Pennsdale, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 12, 2011, at the Muncy Valley Hospital. He was born July 20, 1939, in Danville, a son of the late Frederick and Ruth Sholes Yohe.

Paul retired from Wise Potato Chips and was a business owner, having owned Swimtech Industries; Swimtech Pool and Patio and Pool Contractors Supply. He was a member of the Pennsdale Trinity United Methodist Church, was a 32nd degree Mason, being a member of Knapp Lodge No. 462 F&A.M. and the Order of Eastern Star No. 481 in Muncy. He enjoyed restoring antique trucks and Cub Cadet Tractors, was a member of the Antique Historical Truck Society, the Short Way Chapter Truck Club and was a veteran of the U.S. Army, having served from 1956 to 1959.

Paul is survived by his wife, the former Caroline E. Harvey, with whom he would have celebrated their 20th wedding anniversary on May 11; his daughter, June E. (James) Yohe Higgins of Berryville, Va.; granddaughters, Mikayla and Alexandra; and his sisters, Carol Golla of Berwick and Martha Reinaker of Catawissa.

He is predeceased by a sister, Anna Nagle, and by a brother, Robert “Bud” Yohe.

The funeral service will be held 10:30 a.m. Monday, Jan. 17, 2011, at the Pennsdale Trinity United Methodist Church, 658 Village Road, Pennsdale, with Pastor Rob Ransom officiating. Interment will follow in Twin Hills Memorial Park. Friends will be received on Sunday, Jan. 16, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Spitler Funeral Home, 733 Broad St., Montoursville, where a Masonic Service will be held at 8:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Cancer Treatment Center, c/o Divine Providence Health System Foundation, 1001 Grampian Blvd., Williamsport, PA 17701.
