Carol A. Rupert

Carol A. Rupert, 63, of Hughesville, died Sunday, Jan. 16, 2011, at the Williamsport Regional Medical Center.

Born June 13, 1947, in Williamsport, she was a daughter of Shirley and the late John Wagner. She and her husband, Lewis H. Rupert, celebrated 41 years of marriage on Sept. 27, 2010.

Carol was a graduate of the Montoursville High School, class of 1965. She was employed with the First National Bank, Hughesville, until her retirement on Dec. 31, 2010. Carol was a member of the “Red Misfits” Chapter of the Red Hat Society and the Wynding Brook Golf Club. She was very much a people person who enjoyed spending time with her family and especially her grandchildren.

Surviving, in addition to her mother and husband, are two sons, Todd (Nina) Rupert of Muncy and Jason (Jennifer Little) Rupert of Hughesville; two sisters, Pamela (Dennis) Fry of Benton and Brenda (Jeff Getgen) Wagner of Cogan Station; and three grandchildren, Keri Rupert, Shawn Rupert and a baby grandchild expected in June.

A visitation was held from 6:30 to 9 p.m.Thursday, Jan. 20, 2011, at the McCarty-Thomas Funeral Home, 557 E. Water St., Hughesville. Burial was held in Pleasant Hill Cemetery at the convenience of the family.

The family provided the flowers and suggested memorial contributions be made to the Hughesville Fire Dept., P.O. Box 53, Hughesville, PA 17737.
