Thomas S. Urban

Thomas S. Urban, 90, of 282 Conrad Hill Road, Hughesville and formerly of Montoursville, passed away Monday, Jan. 24, 2011, at The Gatehouse.

He was born Dec. 14, 1920, in Eleanora, Pa., a son of Stephen and Mary Yorko Urban.

Thomas had worked for North American Phillips as an account representative. He was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, the Milton Country Club and the Eagles Club.

He is survived by his wife, the former Edith Manco; three daughters, Susan M. (Glenn) Springer of Williamsport, Judith A. (Dan) Belzer of Trout Run and Mary E. (Keith) Stover of Hughesville; a brother, Lawrence (Evelyn) Urban of West Chicago, Ill.; and four grandchildren, Joshua D. Belzer, Christian D. Stover, Sarah C. Stover and Hayli M. Springer.

A Memorial Mass was held 1:30 p.m. Friday, Jan. 28, 2011, at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, 100 Walnut St., Montoursville, with Rev. John K. Manno officiating. There was no visitation and burial was at the convenience of the family in Resurrection Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to The Gatehouse, c/o Providence Health System Foundation, 1001 Grampian Blvd., Williamsport, PA 17701. Arrangements were by Spitler Funeral Home, Montoursville.
