Beatrice E. Fenstermacher

Beatrice E. Fenstermacher, 93, of Muncy, died Saturday, Jan. 29, 2011, at the Muncy Valley Hospital Skilled Nursing Unit.

Born Sept. 3, 1917, in Muncy, she was a daughter of the late Peter and Ella Diltz Campbell.

Beatrice was a longtime member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, Williamsport. She was employed for many years at L.L. Sterns Luncheonette and retired in 1980 from Britts Tally House Restaurant after having worked there for over 10 years. Beatrice was an avid Phillies fan who also enjoyed cooking, gardening, going to yard sales, her faithful dogs and spending time with her family.

Surviving are three sons, Eri V. (Mary) Fenstermacher of Hughesville, Richard D. (Shirley) Campbell of Muncy and Joseph P. (Vicki) Youmans of Pennsdale; a daughter, Joan M. Haines of Williamsport; 12 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Beatrice was preceded in death by a son, Alfred Fenstermacher Jr.; a great-grandson, Christopher Fenstermacher; a son-in-law, Howard Haines; a daughter-in-law, Roxanne Fenstermacher; and two brothers, Harold and Alvin Campbell.

Funeral services were held 11 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 1, 2011, at the McCarty-Thomas Funeral Home, 557 E. Water St., Hughesville, with Pastor Timothy Halbig officiating. Burial followed in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Hughesville. Friends called from 10 to 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
