Connie L. Wommer

Connie L. Wommer, 54, of Muncy, died Thursday, Feb. 10, 2011, at University of Pittsburgh Medical Center.

Born May 18, 1956, in Muncy, she was a daughter of the late Harry A. and Frances M. Fry Fiester. She and her husband, Alvin E. Wommer, would have celebrated 39 years of marriage on April 22, 2011.

Connie was employed with the former Trimtex, Williamsport for over 17 years. She enjoyed reading, listening to music and above all, spending time with her grandchildren.

Surviving, in addition to her husband, are two sons, Terry L. (Amy) Wommer of Millville and Michael D. (Kim) Wommer of Muncy; a daughter, April M. (Jared) West of Muncy; two brothers, Burton L. Fiester of Milton and Edward L. Fiester of Hughesville; two sisters, Cathy L. Berry of Muncy and Cindy L. (Steve) Dangler of Loyalton; and five grandchildren, Macey and Katie Wommer, Maegan West and Landyn and Cohen Wommer.

In addition to her parents, Connie was preceded in death by a nephew, Shawn Fiester and four brothers, Joe Whitmoyer, Dale Fiester, Allen Fiester and Jeffrey Fiester.

Funeral services were held 10 a.m. Tuesday at the McCarty-Thomas Funeral Home, 557 E. Water St., Hughesville, with the Rev. Robert A. Lauver officiating. Burial followed in Pleasant Hill Cemetery. Friends caledl from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
