Freda L. Stover
Freda L. Stover, 82, a resident of Meadowbrook Road, Muncy, PA, went to be with her Lord on Sunday, March 20, 2011 in the Muncy Valley Hospital. Born in Montgomery, Lycoming County, PA, on Saturday, December 8, 1928, she was the daughter of the late Frederick and Sadie (Miller) Nuss.
Freda was the wife of Franklin B. “Bud” Stover with whom she celebrated a 61st wedding anniversary on February 17, 2011.
She was employed as a secretary by the former J.C. Decker Co., the former Montgomery Mills and Staiman Brothers at Williamsport. Freda and her husband had served as the custodians at the New Covenant Assembly at Montgomery for many years.
Freda was a member of the New Covenant Assembly at Montgomery, PA. where she faithfully attended the Wednesday Night Bible Study Group. Freda was an excellent cook and had an extensive library of cook books. She was a former member of the Bower-Decker American Legion Post 251 Ladies Auxiliary at Montgomery.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Holly E. and James Pentz, Montgomery, PA; one sister, Rhelda Fisher, Allenwood, PA; two granddaughters, Jennifer and Tim Ferguson, Montgomery, PA; Joanna Pentz, Manhattan, NY and three great-grandchildren, Hailey Ferguson; Kiley Ferguson and Xander Ferguson. Freda was preceded in death by her brother, Frederick Nuss.
A memorial service of celebration will be conducted from the New Covenant Assembly, 1270 Pinchtown Road, Montgomery, PA at 10:30 A.M. on Saturday, April 2, 2011 with Reverend James R. Pentz, her son-in-law, officiating. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions be made to the New Covenant Assembly, 1270 Pinchtown Road, Montgomery, PA 17752.
