Gloria M. Andrews

Gloria M. Andrews, 83, a resident of Park Place North, Muncy, Pa., passed away on Tuesday, Aug. 30, 2011, at her residence. Born in Clinton Township, Lycoming County, Pa., on Tuesday, Aug. 21, 1928, she was the daughter of the late Stanley M. and Anna Mae (Scott) Hartman.

She was the widow of Richard C. Andrews Sr., who preceded her in death on Oct. 2, 1977.

Gloria was a homemaker and enjoyed watching Shirley Temple movies.

She is survived by four children, Richard C. Andrews Jr., Muncy, Pa., Sherry L. and John Fruit, Pennsdale, Pa., Veronica Y. Hill, Kane, Pa., Edward S. Andrews, Muncy, Pa.; one brother, Ronald S. and Dixie Hartman, Hookstown, Pa.; one sister, Deonne H. Frey, Mt. Lebanon, Pa. Gloria is also survived by seven grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband and parents, Gloria was preceded in death by her stepmother, Barbara Hartman and two brothers, Stanley Hartman Jr. and Marlin L. Hartman.

Funeral services were conducted from the Galen R. Betzer Funeral Service, 108 N. Main St., Muncy, Pa., at 2 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 2, 2011, with Grace Marie Ransom, pastor of the Clarkstown United Methodist Church, officiating. Friends called on Friday from 1 to 2 p.m. at the funeral home. The family provided the flowers.
