Susan “Susie” K. Gordner

Susan “Susie” K. Gordner, 64, of 1209 Miller St., Williamsport and formerly of Muncy, died, Saturday, October 15, 2011 at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.

Born March 30, 1947 in Muncy, she was a daughter of the late Thomas L. and Catharine J. (Michael) Gordner.

Susie was a 1966 graduate of Muncy High School. She retired from Lysock View Nursing Home, where she worked as a housekeeper. Following retirement, she worked at Friendly’s in the Lycoming mall as well as Hope Enterprises workshop in Williamsport.

She was a former member of K.H.L. Fire Company Auxiliary. Her greatest pleasure was crocheting hundreds of afghans which she would make for weddings, new babies and for just being her friend. Susie also enjoyed playing bingo, cards and spending time with her family.

Surviving are one brother and fianc, Thomas L. Gordner and Judy Stiger and one sister and brother-in-law, Linda J. and Leon Fuller all of Muncy; six nieces and nephews and their spouses; Michael and Jenean Fuller, Amy and Patrick Dapp, Jennifer and Rusty Kaufman, Jackie and Steve Daye, Matthew and Becky Gordner, and Kelly and Tim Miller; and 10 great-nieces and nephews; Linsey and Erick Dapp, Kylee and Emma Kaufman, Katelyn, Sarah and Alicia Daye, Madelyn Gordner, Catharine Miller, and Thomas Miller who is expected in December.

Friends will be received from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday, October 21, 2011 at Grenoble’s, 121 S. Main St., Muncy, where the funeral will be held at 11. Officiating will be Pastor Max L.Walters, Jr. of Lairdsville Faith Church. Burial will follow in Muncy Cemetery.
