Laura R. Bartlow

Laura R. Bartlow, 72, of 448 Rt. 442 Highway, Muncy, died Wednesday, Dec. 7, 2011 at the Williamsport Regional Medical Center.

Born Nov. 14, 1939 in Watsontown, she was a daughter of the late Fred C. and Helen (Whitmoyer) Bieber. She and her husband of 38 years, James Bartlow, Sr., were married in August 1973.

Laura was a graduate of Muncy High School. She was employed at J. A. Habig veneer company for 40 years, retiring in 1993 as a supervisor. Her hobbies included whittling, vegetable gardening, fishing and hunting.

Surviving in addition to her husband is one son, James Bartlow, Jr. of Muncy.

A graveside memorial service was held at 1 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 12, at Muncy Cemetery. Officiating was Pastor Max L. Walters, Jr. of Lairdsville Faith Church, Hughesville.

The family provided the flowers and suggests memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society Lycoming Unit, 1948 E. Third St., Williamsport, PA 17701.
