Alice Mary Grove

Alice Mary Grove, 72, of Muncy, died Tuesday, March 20, 2012, at the Muncy Skilled Nursing Unit.

She was born in Williamsport on Feb. 21, 1940, the daughter of the late Ralph L. and Alice L. (Bower) Grove.

Her husband, Emerson Steinbacher, preceded her in death in 1975.

A talented artist, she founded and operated the Strawbridge Art Gallery and Frame Shop at Katie’s County Store in Muncy Valley until 1996. Her paintings grace the walls of homes throughout the Mid-Atlantic region.

She was a member of Moreland Baptist Church, where she was active in many of its programs.

Alice is survived by a brother, Ralph Richard (Linda) Grove of Marietta, Ga., and a sister, Louann (Ward) Boote of Wyalusing.

A remembrance service will be held at the convenience of the family.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Allen & Redmond Funeral Home.
