William L. Miller Sr.

William L. Miller Sr. of Las Vegas, NV. Passed away on March 29, 2012 at his home. He was born in Muncy, PA on December 25, 1918, to parents James B. and Lucille (Fowler) Miller. He attended grade school in Port Penn and Muncy High School. He was a WWII veteran serving in the US Army. He was a former member of the VFW in Muncy and the American Legion in Muncy, whose drill team he performed with.

He worked as a truck driver for over thirty years, and later as a security guard at the Las Vegas Hilton Hotel in Las Vegas, Nevada. He and his late wife, the former, Mary E. (Starr) Miller celebrated their 73rd wedding anniversary in October 2011.

He was preceded in death by his wife Mary E. (Starr) Miller on November, 2011 and his brother James H. (Bud) Miller of Muncy, PA on December 2011.

He is survived by three daughters Patricia A. (Robert) Shahan, Nancy C. (Bill) Stroud and Christine Arrenquin all of Las Vegas, NV, son William L. (Peggy) Miller Jr. of Bullhead City, AZ. Also surviving are twelve grandchildren, twenty-seven great-grandchildren, twelve great-great-grandchildren, two sisters, June (Miller) Hulsizer and Betty (Miller) Kopf, both of Las Vegas, NV. Many nieces and nephews as well as cousins and friends in Las Vegas, NV and the Muncy, PA area are still surviving.

Memorial Services will be held at The Heritage Methodist Church in Las Vegas, NV on Saturday, April 14, 2012. Interment will follow at the Boulder City, Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery with military honor guard.
