Edward L. Yeagle
Edward L. Yeagle, 82, of Watsontown, formerly of Allenwood, passed away Monday, June 25, 2012, at Kramm’s Health Care & Rehabilitation Center, Milton.
Born March 6, 1930, in Allenwood, he was the son of the late Elwood and Alice Frantz Yeagle. He married the former Freda M. Umpstead on May 29, 1948 and celebrated 63 years of marriage until her death on Nov. 10, 2011.
Ed was a self-employed roofing and siding contractor. He was a member of the White Deer Valley Baptist Church and enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and spending time with his grandchildren.
Surviving are a son, Clair E. (Susan) Yeagle of Watsontown; daughters, Connie E. (Winton) Yorke of Hughesville and Donna M. Reish of Milton; sisters, Margaret Truckenmiller of Watsontown and Martha White of West Milton; five grandchildren, Michele Perry, Jody Ulrich, Jeremy Shoemaker, Terry and David Yeagle; and 11 great-grandchildren.
Ed was predeceased by a son, David Yeagle in 1976 and a brother, Hoarce Yeagle.
A graveside service was held Wednesday, June 27, 2012, at 11 a.m. at the Uniontown Cemetery, Allenwood, with Joani Yagel, former U.M.C. Lay Speaker, officiating. No visitation.
The family provided flowers and suggests contributions in Ed’s memory be made to the White Deer Valley Baptist Church, 572 White Deer Valley Baptist Church Road, Allenwood, PA 17810.
