Peter Lose Brant

Peter Lose Brant, 69, of Hughesville, died unexpectedly on Sunday, July 8, 2012, in Penn Yan, N.Y.

Born May 21, 1943, in Muncy, he was a son of the late Elwood and Ione Lose Brant.

Peter retired in 2007 from the former Sprout-Waldron, Muncy, after having worked there for over 43 years and was a member of their Quarter Century Club. He was a member of the Loyal Order of the Moose, Muncy Valley Lodge 866, Strawbridge Fishing Club and Hickory Flats Hunting Club. Peter was an avid fisherman and hunter who also loved playing golf.

Surviving are his companion of three years, Donna J. O’Connor of Hughesville; three sons, Philip T. (Jolene) Brant of Hughesville, Brian M. (Linda) Brant of Muncy and Adam W. (Heather) Brant of Hughesville; a daughter, Michelle R. Frey of Muncy; seven grandchildren, Noah Brant, Brianna Alexander, Olivia Frey, Dalton Brant, Brynlee Brant, Cameryn Brant and Shawn Williams; and a brother, Roger E. (Lois) Brant of Williamsport.

A memorial service was held 11 a.m. Monday, July 16, 2012, at the McCarty-Thomas Funeral Home, 557 E. Water St., Hughesville, with the Rev. Ronald G. Montgomery officiating. Friends called from 10 to 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home.
