Kim J. Krause

Kim J. Krause, 54, of Muncy Valley, died Friday, Aug. 3, 2012, at Manor Care South, Williamsport.

Born Jan. 8, 1958, in Muncy, she was a daughter of Rose Marie Remsnyder Krause and the late Joseph B. “Butch” Krause.

Kim was a graduate of Sullivan County High School, Class of 1975 and the Pennsylvania College of Technology where she received her associate’s degree. A social member of the American Legion, Sonestown, she also enjoyed riding motorcycles, reading, listening to music and dancing. However, Kim’s greatest joy was spending time with her grandchildren.

Surviving, in addition to her mother of Muncy Valley, are a daughter, Brandy R. (Scott) Savage of Yardley; two sisters, Betty L. (Ken) Harner of Valley View and Lisa M. (Sam) Altemose of Muncy Valley; extended family, Rudy (Sharon) Remsnyder of Hughesville; a niece, Shannon M. (Bill) Wagner; a great-nephew, Mason J. Wagner; and two grandchildren, Morgan S. Savage and Jefferson S. Savage.

In addition to her father, Kim was preceded in death by a brother, Jeffrey L. Krause; a sister, Robin J. Krause; and a cousin, Vicki S. Remsnyder.

A memorial service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, August 18, 2012, at the McCarty-Thomas Funeral Home, 557 E. Water St., Hughesville, with the Rev. Max L. Walters Jr. officiating. Friends may call from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
