Rebecca Crawford

Rebecca L. (Becky) Crawford, 84, a resident of Hughesville, Pa., formerly of Jersey Shore, Pa., went to be with the Lord on Sunday, Sept. 23, 2012, in the Williamsport Regional Medical Center. Born in Montgomery, Lycoming County, Pa., on Monday, Aug. 13, 1928, she was the daughter of the late Kenneth and Helen (Schaffer) Giltner.

Becky was a 1946 graduate of Montgomery-Clinton High School. She was employed as a bartender by the V.F.W. and the Fraternal Order of Eagles at Jersey Shore, Pa.

She was a member of the Jersey Shore V.F.W. and the Fraternal Order of the Eagles and their Ladies Auxiliaries and the Loyal Order of Moose at Jersey Shore. Becky was an avid collector of turtles. She was an enthusiastic NASCAR fan, enjoyed picnics and being with her family.

She is survived by one daughter, Beverly J. Crawford, Hughesville, Pa.; two sons and one daughter-in-law, Richard A. Crawford, Lock Haven, Pa., and William J. and Mary Crawford, Hughesville, Pa. Becky is also survived by nine grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two sons, Stephen G. Crawford, on June 27, 2004, Terry Crawford; one daughter, Carrie Crawford; one sister, Anna Jane Englelman; one brother, James Giltner; and her companion, Keith.

A memorial service was conducted from the Galen R. Betzer Funeral Service, 108 N. Main St., Muncy, Pa., at 2 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 27, 2012, with Pastor Max L. Walters, Jr. officiating. If desired, memorial contributions may be made to the Muncy Valley Hospital Skilled Nursing Unit, 215 E. Water St., Muncy, PA 17756.
