Hazel D. Hill

Hazel D. Hill, 98, of 42 Bank Farm Road, Hughesville, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 17, 2012, at the Williamsport Regional Medical Center. She was born Feb. 24, 1914, in Muncy Township, a daughter of Narber D. and Beatrice Robb Fry.

Hazel was a member for over 50 years at the Bethany United Methodist Church in Hughesville. Her main joy was her family of deceased daughter, Clarabelle, her grandson, Dana, and son-in-law, Otis. She enjoyed gardening and other outdoor chores.

She was predeceased by her first husband, Woodrow W. Springman, and her second husband, J. Howard Hill; daughter, Clarabelle S. Williams; brothers, Rollin D., Harley A., Kenneth D. and Earl T. Fry; sisters, Ocie L. Gardner, Isabell R. Winter, Beatrice R. Bay, Ruth E. Whitmoyer and Helen I. Drick.

She is survived by her son-in-law, Otis F. Williams Jr. of Loyalsock Township; brother, Clifford N. Fry; sisters. Stella G. Teter and Beverly A. Gardner, both of Muncy; and her grandson, Dana Williams.

The funeral service was held 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 20, 2012, at the Spitler Funeral Home, 733 Broad St., Montoursville. Interment followed in Montoursville Cemetery. Friends were received on Friday, Oct. 19, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
