Linda D. Jacobs

Linda D. Jacobs, 64, of 123 Carpenter St., Muncy, died Friday, Nov. 2, 2012, at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.

Born Nov. 27, 1947, in Williamsport, she was a daughter of the late Guy and Harriet Stone. On Dec. 31, 1967, she married Chester M. Jacobs, who survives.

Linda was a 1966 graduate of Muncy High School. She worked as a sales clerk at Bon Ton in the Lycoming Mall for 17 years until retiring in 2004.

She attended the Meck Sr. Citizens gatherings at the Y.M.C.A. and enjoyed playing cards and bingo. Linda was a member of the Muncy Valley Loyal Order of Moose Lodge No. 866, and previously was a member of the former Keystone Hook and Ladder ladies auxiliary and the former Muncy Jaycees.

Linda was a member of Evangelical Friends Church, Hughesville.

Surviving, in addition to her husband, are one daughter, Darla Jacobs and companion, Francis E. Burke II of Muncy; and two grandchildren, Dakota M. Burke and Brooklynn M. Burke.

The funeral will be held today at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 7, at Grenoble’s, 121 S. Main St., Muncy. Officiating will be Rev. James A. Savage. Burial will follow in Salem Cemetery, Unityville.

Friends were received from 6 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home.
