Robert C. Tome

Robert C. Tome, 79, of Muncy, died Oct. 29, 2012, at the Williamsport Regional Medical Center. He was born in West Grove, a son of the late Cecil C. and Rebecca (Thackary) Tome. On July 19, 1954, he married Alice L. Jamison, who survives.

Robert was a dairy farmer his whole life. He graduated from Avon Grove High School, class of 1952, and was a member of the Pennsylvania Farmer’s Association. Bob was an avid toy collector and enjoyed travelling.

In addition to his wife of 58 years, he is survived by three sons, Robert (Teckla) Tome, Yoe, Cecil (Lee) Tome, Muncy, and Richard (Kris) Tome Bluefield, W.Va.; two daughters, Doris Jackson, Coatsville and Ruth Heck, Nottingham; 13 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and a daughter-in-law, Hazel Tome, Muncy.

In addition to his parents, Robert was preceded in death by a son, Dana L. Tome on Feb. 14; a brother, Richard Tome; and two sisters, Ruth Willis and Marion Diteodori.

A graveside service was

held at 2 p.m. Monday in the Morland Lutheran Cemetery, Muncy by Lucy Temple, CLM.
