James E. Chapman Jr.
James E. Chapman Jr., 43, of 1170 Village Road, Pennsdale, died Saturday, Dec. 1, 2012, at the Muncy Valley Hospital emergency room.
Born June 21, 1969, in Williamsport, he was a son of the late James Earl Chapman Sr. and Connie Chapman, who survives. On July 3, 2011, he married Marlene J. (Bridgland) Trimble.
A graduate of Williamsport High School, he was currently employed at A.D.S. in Muncy where he worked in the yard. He previously worked in the logging business with his stepson and was formerly employed by Black Bear Truss.
Jimmy was a member of Highland Lake Manor and was an avid outdoorsman, spending lots of time hunting, four-wheeling and cutting wood. His grandchildren were very important to him and he loved spending time with them.
Surviving, in addition to his wife and his mother, of Cogan Station, are two sons, Steve Lyons of Exchange and Robert Lyons of Hughesville; four daughters, Debra Barrett and husband Scott of Pennsdale, April Snyder and companion Nick Ohl of Pennsdale, Brenda Dodson and husband Cory, and Steph Michael and husband Adam, all of Turbotville; three sisters, Bonnie Hessert of Hughesville, Peggy Applegate and husband Keith of Cogan Station, and Joann Dieffenbach and husband John of Millville; 10 grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.
The funeral will be held today at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 5, at Grenoble’s, 121 S. Main St., Muncy. Officiating will be Rev. Marjorie B. Fisk, pastor of Fairview Church of the Nazarene, Turbotville. Burial will be held at the convenience of the family.
Friends will be received from 5 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home.
