Steven W. Fessler Sr.
Steven W. Fessler Sr., 61, of Hughesville, died Sunday, Dec. 2, 2012, at the Williamsport Regional Medical Center.
Born June 9, 1951, in Williamsport, he was a son of Lois Aldine Sheets Reeder and the late John Howard Fessler Jr. He and his wife, the former Brenda K. Kleese, celebrated 23 years of marriage on June 17, 2012.
Steve was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and riding his motorcycle. He was a former member of the Hughesville Fire Department and was currently a member of National Turkey Federation, North American Hunting Club and STAR Touring & Riding, Chapter 369, serving as the Sergeant at Arms.
He was previously employed at the former Anton Waldman’s, Hughesville, and currently employed at Schneider Valley Farms. Steve was especially fond of his two black labs, Chance and Raven and loved spending time with his grandchildren.
Surviving, in addition to his mother and wife, are three sons, Steven W. (Barbara) Fessler Jr. of Milton, Daniel A. Fessler of Dewart and Timothy H. Fessler of Watsontown; a brother, Jack L. (Karen) Fessler of Hughesville; a sister, Gina L. (Carl) Myers of Benton; and three grandchildren, Mackenzie “McAdoo” Fessler, Lizabeth “Izzie” Fessler and Mason “Little Buck” Fessler.
A memorial service was held 7 p.m. last Wednesday, at the McCarty-Thomas Funeral Home, 557 E. Water St., Hughesville, with the Rev. Max L. Walters Jr. officiating. Friends called from 6 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
