Max R. Woodling
Max R. Woodling, 81, of Muncy, died on Dec. 27, 2012, at the Muncy Valley Hospital Skilled Nursing Unit.
He was born Feb. 27, 1931, in Muncy, the son of John S. Sr. and Edna Pauline Metzger Woodling.
Max had worked for Sprout Bauer, was a member of Keystone Sportsman Gun Club, was a bowler at Faxon and Muncy Lanes, loved hunting and all sports.
Surviving are two daughters, Bonnie Rager of Tolleson, Ariz. and Sandra Swisher of Coral Springs, Fla.; his caregiver, Judith Snyder; three brothers Kenny (Donna) of Picture Rocks, Jack of Hughesville, and Ronald Woodling of Chicago, Ill.; four sisters, June Houseknecht of Muncy, Mary (Jim) Schaeffer of Montgomery, Linda Clinger of Milton, and Judy (Leon) Stugart of Hughesville; five grandsons, Kameron (Wendy) Rager, Kourtney (Jill) Rager, Jeromy (Pam) Brown, Brian (Leann) Swisher, and Dustin Swisher; seven great-grandsons and two great-granddaughters.
He was preceded by his wife, the former Claire H. Reber; a son, Mark Woodling and five sisters, Phyllis Croman, Lois Fraley, Wanda Blacker, Rutha Stump, and Doris Eberhart.
Funeral and burial will be held at the convenience of the family.
