Williminia “Billie” L. McCormick

Williminia “Billie” L. McCormick, 89, of 109 Park Place, Muncy, and formerly of Collomsville and Old Lycoming Township, passed peacefully on Sunday, Dec. 23, 2012, at the Muncy Valley Hospital Skilled Nursing Unit following a brief stay.

Born Oct. 21, 1923, in Bellwood, and raised in Allenwood, she was a daughter of William and Sarah (Rumbaugh) Pysher. Her husband of 53 years, who was the love of her life, preceded her in death in October 1994.

During World War II she worked at Sylvania in Montoursville and later was employed by the former Lane’s Drug Store in Old Lycoming Township. Billie will always be remembered as a loving wife and wonderful mother and grandmother.

Surviving are one daughter, Candace McCormick (John Weeks) of Trout Run; one granddaughter, Melissa (Stephen) Palese of Mechanicsburg; one grandson, Brett (Fern) Michael of Lacey, Wash.; and two great-grandsons, Nathan and William Palese.

A graveside service is being planned at Uniontown Cemetery, Allenwood and will be announced at a later date.

The family is being assisted by Cronrath-Grenoble Funeral Home, Watsontown.
