Madeline E. Minier

Madeline E. Minier, 88, of Hughesville, died Saturday, Dec. 29, 2012, at the Muncy Valley Hospital.

Born June 30, 1924, in Picture Rocks, she was a daughter of the late William C. and Jenny E. Taylor Croman.

Madeline was a graduate of Picture Rocks High School, class of 1942. She served as secretary for Shrewsbury Township for many years and had previously been employed with AVCO and Rheem Manufacturing during World War II. Madeline was a member of the Tivoli United Methodist Church and the Sonestown American Legion Ladies Auxiliary for 31 years.

Surviving are a son, Harold T. Minier of Picture Rocks; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Madeline was preceded in death by two daughters, Carol Dincher and Martha Gumm; two sisters, Ruphemia Minier and Hilda Rightmire; and four brothers, Donald, Wayne, Earl and Stanley Croman.

Funeral services were held at the convenience of the family.
