Mrs. Mary Anna (Mathers) Merrick Eichelberger

Mrs. Mary Anna (Mathers) Merrick Eichelberger, 66, of 3367 Coseytown Rd., Greencastle, PA, formerly of Muncy, PA; died Tuesday morning, January 29, 2013 in The Shook Home, Chambersburg, PA.
Born May 1, 1946 in Muncy, she was the daughter of the late William Laird and Eleanor (Sharrow) Mathers.
Mrs. Eichelberger graduated from Muncy High School with the class of 1964.
She and her husband, CSM Warren S. “Ike” Eichelberger Sr., U.S. Army Retired, were married on October 16, 1990.
She was employed as a cost estimator for GE Sylvania, Williamsport, PA and retired as a bank teller for Patriot Federal Credit Union, Waynesboro, PA in 1999.
She and her husband enjoyed long trips on their Harley-Davidson motorcycles together. They traveled to Sturgis Motorcycle Rally 18 times and traveled many times on trips hundreds of miles long sometimes in one day. She also enjoyed snowmobile riding. She and her husband traveled to Canada and Alaska where they rode snowmobiles along backcountry trails. She was very passionate about riding her Harley and snowmobile and enjoyed the adventures she and her husband went on.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her daughter, Lisa Marie Merrick of Frederick, MD; three step-daugthers: June K. Martin of Fayetteville, NC, Judy K. Chambers of Chambersburg, PA, Janet K. Paylor of Mercersburg, PA; a step-son, Warren S. Eichelberger, Jr. of Greencastle; five step-grandchildren, four step-great grandchildren and her brother, James I. Mathers and his wife, Barbara, of St. Thomas, PA.
Local funeral services were held at 3:00 P.M., Friday, February 1, 2013 in Miller-Bowersox Funeral Home, 521 S. Washington Street, Greencastle with Rev. Stacy Crawford officiating. They received friends for one hour prior to the service in the funeral home.
Funeral services were also held at 1:30 P.M., Saturday, February 2, 2013 in First United Methodist Church, 602 South Market Street, Muncy, PA with Rev. Jane O’Borski officiating.
The family received friends for half an hour prior to the service Saturday in the church.
Burial was Saturday following the church service in Muncy Cemetery.
