Thelma P. “Patsy” Keebler

Thelma P. “Patsy” Keebler, 80, of 257 Birch Still Rd., Hughesville, died Thursday, February 7, 2013 at the Muncy Valley Hospital Skilled Nursing Unit.

Born March 17, 1932 in Muncy, she was the daughter of the late James T. and Hazel L. (Narber) Houseknecht. On November 2, 1952, she married Paul R. Keebler, who survives. Together they celebrated 60 years of marriage.

Patsy attended Muncy High School for eleven years and graduated from Hughesville High School in 1950. She worked as a waitress at various local diners and also with Santa Claus at the Lycoming Mall taking pictures.

Patsy was a member of the Mapleton Community Church.

1n the 1980’s she enjoyed dressing as a Billtown Clown for the local parades. Good at arranging flowers, Patsy won a ribbon every year at the fair. She was very artistic and helped set up the type for the minutes from PTA meetings.

Surviving in addition to her husband are two sons, Jerry Keebler of Hughesville and Larry “Joe” Keebler of Allenwood; one daughter and son-in-law, Holly and Robert Kibbe of Montgomery; two brothers and sisters-in-law, David P. and Shirley Houseknecht of Picture Rocks and J. Rodney and Taffy Houseknecht of Muncy; seven grandchildren and one great-grandson.

Friends were received from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday, February 11, 2013 at Grenoble’s, 121 S. Main St., Muncy, where the funeral was held at 2 p.m. Tuesday. Officiating was Rev. Max L. Walters, Jr., pastor of Lairdsville Faith Church.

Burial followed in Muncy Cemetery.
