Lee R. Anderson

Lee R. Anderson, 71, of Stryker Ave., Montgomery, died Monday, March 11, 2013, at his home with his wife and family.

Born November 30, 1941 in Williamsport, he was the son of the late Wilbur and Violet (West) Anderson. On April 10, 2012, he celebrated his 48th wedding anniversary with his wife, the former Jennora (Jenny) Taft of Marshalltown, Iowa.

Lee served in the U.S. Air Force for eight years and was a veteran of the Vietnam War. After 32 years of employment, he retired from Kawneer Company in Bloomsburg, where he worked in customer service. Lee attended Grace Baptist Church in Muncy.

Surviving in addition to his wife are one daughter and son-in-law, Kristy and Rod Koch of Montgomery; four grandchildren, Nathan R. Koch and wife Terri, Nicholas D. Koch, Brittany R. Koch and Breanne Koch; two great-grandchildren, Lilly M. and Madelyn B. Koch; and three sisters, Faith Brooke of Muncy, Kathy Werner of Hummelstown, and Linda Firestone and husband Roger of New Mexico.

In addition to his parents he was predeceased by one sister, Faye Pobe, formerly of Philadelphia.

The funeral was held at 11 a.m. Friday, March 15, at Grace Baptist Church, 5471 Clarkstown Road, Muncy, officiated by Rev. Charles Teffeteller. Burial with full military honors followed in Muncy Cemetery.

The family provided the flowers and suggests memorial contributions be made to either Grace Baptist Church, 5471 Clarkstown Road, Muncy, PA 17756 or the American Cancer Society, Lycoming Unit, 1948 E. Third St., Williamsport, PA 17701.
