Paul C. Zerbe

Paul C. Zerbe, 85, of Shakespeare Ave., Milton, passed away on March 15, 2013, at his home. Born in Williamsport on Oct. 31, 1927, he was the son of the late Brady C. and Hazel (Shaw) Zerbe. He was married on Jan. 14, 1949, to the former Elizabeth Moser who survives. His death breaks a marital union of 64 years.

Paul attended Muncy Schools and served in the Army. He worked as a lay out man for ACF in Milton, as a steam fitter for Pullman Power in Williamsport for 34 years, and as a transporter for Buffalo Valley Lutheran Village in Lewisburg. He was a very active member of St. Andrew’s United Methodist Church in Milton. He was a member of Local 810 and a 50 year member of Local 520. He was also a member of FFA in Muncy. He liked to hunt with his sons and work on cars.

He is survived by his wife; three sons and daughters-in-law, Steven and Nancy Zerbe, Andrew and Lori Zerbe, and Jamie and Roxane Zerbe, all of Milton; two daughters and sons-in-law, Tammy and Allen Hile of Milton and Paula and Joseph Merwin of Montandon; two sisters, Donna Kirkner of Muncy and Althea Minier of Montoursville; 12 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

Paul was preceded in death by a granddaughter Megan Zerbe, and a sister Elsie Task.

Friends and relatives will be received today from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, March 20, at St. Andrews United Methodist Church, 102 Lower Market St., Milton. The funeral will be held at the church 11 a.m. Thursday, March 21. Officiating will be Rev. Dale Hippensteel. Burial will be in Harmony Cemetery, Milton. Arrangements are under the care of the Shaw Funeral Home Inc., Milton.
