Ruth Arlean Grimm

Ruth Arlean Grimm, 65, a resident of Elimsport Road, Montgomery, passed away on Thursday, March 21, 2013, at her residence.

Born in Mt. Carmel, Northumberland County on Saturday, April 26, 1947, she was the daughter of the late Harry and Helen (Yeager) Rhoades.

Ruth was the wife of Thomas R. Grimm, with whom she celebrated a 49th wedding anniversary on April 12, 2012.

Ruth was employed as a C.N.A. by Sycamore Manor Health Center and was previously employed at the Muncy Valley Hospital.

She enjoyed reading, word puzzles, crossword puzzles and quilting.

In addition to her husband, Ruth is survived by two daughters, Melissa S. and Ty Engle, Watsontown, Renee A. Grimm, Watsontown; three sisters, Martha Oberlin, Lewisburg, Nellie Nadzon, Shamokin, Mary Koch, Middleburg; and two grandchildren, Dylan Steele and Averie Engle. Ruth was preceded in death by three brothers, Mort Rhoades, Joe Rhoades and Warren Rhoades.

Funeral services were conducted from the Galen R. Betzer Funeral Service, 108 N. Main St., Muncy, at 1 p.m. Tuesday, March 26, with Rev. William A. Hines, pastor of Richart’s Grove Independent Church, officiating. Interment was in the Green Lawn Memorial Park. Friends called noon to 1 p.m. Tuesday, at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to the American Heart Association, Northeastern PA District, 1704 Warren Ave., Williamsport, PA 17701.
