Clyde H. Biddle III
Clyde H. “Butch” Biddle III, 71, of Watsontown, passed away Tuesday, April 16, 2013, at the Williamsport Regional Medical Center.
Born in Muncy on March 8, 1942, he was the son of the late Clyde H. and Jean L. (Fiegles) Biddle II. On Sept. 5, 1970, he married the former Donna J. Cromley and they had celebrated 42 years of marriage together.
Butch worked a number of years at Montgomery Mills but most recently at Andritz in Muncy where he retired in 2004. He attended Muncy High School then soon after joined the Army. He was a proud Vietnam veteran. He obtained the Bronze Star, Purple Heart, Vietnam Service Medal, Combat Infantry Badge and the Vietnam Campaign Medal. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and spending time with his grandchildren especially his great-granddaughter, Riley.
Surviving, besides his wife, are two daughters and sons-in-law, Cindy and her husband Gene Gresh of Turbotville, Kimberly and her husband Mario Dixon of Pittsburgh; three grandsons, Trey Gresh, Cody and Weston Kapp; four great-grandchildren; two sisters, Aloha Bomboy of Muncy, Tampa Ball of New Castle, Pa.; four stepgreat-grandchildren, Mario Dixon, Brigette Butler, Ashley Thomas and Carrie Gresh.
Friends were invited to call from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday, April 20, 2013, at St. John’s United Methodist Church, 39 River Road, Dewart, PA 17730, where the funeral service followed at 11 a.m. with his Pastor Brian Cieslukouski officiating. Burial with full military honors followed in the Watsontown Cemetery.
